The Japanese Embassy in the Philippines is situated in Manila. The “Treaty of Peace with Japan” and “Reparations Agreement Between Japan and the Republic of the Philippines” became effective in July 1956.
The relationship between Japan and the Philippines date back to the Muromachi period of Japanese history around the 16th century. Though relationship between the two nations hasn’t always been smooth, the relationship has strengthen in recent years.
Nationals of the Philippines who wish to obtain a visa to Japan can either go to the Japanese Embassy in Manila or can also take their documentation to a consular office either in Cebu or Davao.
